ABSTRACT:
Distributed Denial of Services Attacks are the #1 threat to availability on the Internet today. 2008's botnets have grown in every direction: size, sophistication and resiliency, with capabilities bordering on self-awareness. With numbers of attacks approaching 15,000/day, and 3 to 5% of the traffic on the internet being attributed to botnets, they represent tremendous risk that needs to be understood and managed to guarantee uptime of critical internet-connected services.

This presentation, given by world renown botnet and DDoS experts, for IT leaders and security managers will provide:

  • Understanding of the new capabilities of today's botnets.
  • What these new sophisticated attack capabilities mean in real terms.
  • Case Studies of recent DDoS attacks.
  • New approaches and options for surviving DDoS attacks, regardless of size/complexity of your networks.
